Metal panels are chosen by design professionals to clad various building types because of their longevity and variety of profiles available. There are two main types of metal panels, Insulated, with built in R-Values, and un-insulated, that do not provide any R-Value.
Insulated Metal Panels
Insulated panels have come a long way over the past 30 years. The old way of providing a liner panel, insulation, and a face panel has been replaced with new factory insulated wall panels. The insulation is now “foamed in place” or “laminated” to the metal skins to form one sandwich panel. This results in quicker instillation, quicker enclosure, and cost savings to the client.
Uninsulated Metal Panels
Uninsulated panels offer more profile options over insulated panels. They are available with either exposed fasteners or concealed fasteners. They can also be provide with a solid or perforated option. The are one of the most economical ways to enclose a structure and are very popular options for screen wall applications.
